01The challenge
An estate of bungalows with poor thermal performance and tired cladding, all occupied, many by older residents. The upgrade needed to transform the homes without disrupting the people living in them.
02Our approach
We stripped the existing cladding to expose the walls, then installed stud insulation, carrier boards, mineral wool insulation and a render basecoat system finished in brick slips. Each home was planned with its residents.
03The outcome
Warmer homes, a traditional brick finish that suits the area, and a project delivered on time and on budget. It earned an industry accreditation award.
