We take combustible external walls off occupied and empty buildings and replace them with non-combustible systems, acting as Principal Contractor through Gateway 2 and Gateway 3.

Overview

Remediation is about more than swapping panels. Every decision needs to stand up to the Building Safety Regulator, building control, the fire engineer and the funder, and it needs to be recorded so it can be checked years from now.

Profac plans the strip-out, temporary weather protection and replacement sequence around residents, then installs A1 or A2-s1,d0 systems with fire stopping and cavity barriers verified at every floor. The whole process is captured in a digital Golden Thread that’s handed over at sign-off.

    Do you work with Homes England funded schemes?
    Yes. We regularly work alongside Homes England and the client’s cost consultant on funded remediation, providing the cost, programme and evidence the funder needs at each stage.
    Can residents stay in the building?
    Usually, yes. We plan access, scaffold, temporary weather protection and noisy works around residents, with a named site manager as their point of contact.
    Will you act as Principal Contractor?
    We can. At Herculaneum Quay in Liverpool we were Principal Contractor working from Gateway 2 towards Gateway 3.
